Since I can remember, I have always enjoyed making things and being creative. When I left school I decided to train as a Fine Artist initially taking an Art and Design Foundation Studies course at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. Here I experimented with all forms of media such as photography, sculpture and printmaking.
Following this, I went on to study a Fine Art degree at Plymouth University where my work focused on a dance movement theme, using a combination of digital video, drawing and painting. A few of my paintings were exhibited in Plymouth at The Royal William Yard Hearts Capital and Graduate exhibitions, and at The Wall and Coach House Galleries in Yorkshire.
Subsequently, I began painting all sorts of things, enjoying in particular painting people in quite a contemporary way. This led me to start a portrait business. I love working as a portrait artist and especially enjoy bringing out the character of a person or pet. Artists which have influenced my work include Ilaria Rosselli del Turco, Annalisa Avancini and Jeff Stultins.
I work with a variety of top quality paints and drawing materials on different size scale canvases or paper, depending on the customer’s specifications and budgets. You can view images of my work under the people portraits and pet portraits page.
